Summary

As a volunteer, you are expected to follow the instruction of the teacher or the Instructor Therapist. You will be required to work with individuals with autism between the ages of 3-12 years of age, either one- on- one or in a group setting. You will be responsible for keeping the environment clean, provide simple tutoring, play with the children and other duties as required. Since you are working with vulnerable children, we will expect professional behaviour and timeliness from you.  

Qualifications

• Previous interaction with children an asset
• A degree or an interest in psychology or a related field or a diploma in a behavioural science program would be an asset.
• First Aid and CPR certifications an asset.
• Proven attendance record.
• Ability to perform the essential duties of the job.
• Caring, patient, friendly and professionally.
• Other languages would be an asset.
