Instructor Therapist

 

Job Summary

As an Individual Therapist, you’ll implement Intensive Behavior Intervention (IBI) using principles of Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) with individuals with autism ages 3-12. Your responsibilities include providing direct service, preparing teaching materials, monitoring progress through data collection, participating in treatment planning, and attending team meetings.

Qualifications and Skills

Qualifications

  • One year of IBI experience would be an asset.
  • A degree in psychology or a related field or a diploma in a behavioural science program would be an asset.
  • Candidate must have a valid Ontario driver’s license, a vehicle and be willing to travel throughout GTA, York Region, and Durham Region.
  • First Aid and CPR certifications
  • Proven attendance record.
  • Ability to perform the essential duties of the job.
  • Caring, patient, friendly and professionally.
  • Commitment to providing an exceptional experience for staff and clients within a challenging environment.
  • Other languages would be an asset.
